Terms of Service

Photonza is a web application operated by Ali Mert Güleç that collects the photos and videos of an event in one shared feed, lets guests find their own photos with AI face recognition and lets them download content. It runs in the browser; no app-store download is needed.

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

• Organizer: the venue, event company, school, institution or photographer who creates the event, shares the invite code, manages content and sets the event settings.
• Photographer: a professional who connects to the event with a single-use invite code generated by the organizer, uploads in bulk and sets download and watermark options for their own photos.
• Guest: a person who joins the event with a QR code or invite code. No account is needed; guests are covered by the Guest Participation Agreement.

The information you provide must be accurate and you must keep your password confidential. You are responsible for actions taken with your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

The event invite code and PIN grant access to that event. Share them only with the people you want to invite. The photographer invite code is single-use and expires 72 hours after it is generated.

You must own the rights to the content you upload, and the people shown must have no objection to sharing.

• Content that is illegal, obscene, violent, hateful or infringing on others' rights may not be uploaded.
• Uploaded photos pass automated content moderation and inappropriate ones are rejected.
• The organizer may remove any content in their event.
• In case of a breach we reserve the right to remove content and restrict access.

You keep the copyright in the content you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to provide the service, limited to the event and the retention period. We do not use your content for marketing.

Watermarks and download restrictions may apply to photos uploaded by the photographer. In that case guests can view but not download the photo.

For the photos, videos and notes uploaded to your event you are the data controller within the meaning of KVKK (and the GDPR); Photonza is the processor that stores and displays this content on your behalf. This section serves as the processor agreement under Article 12 of KVKK and Article 28 of the GDPR.

• Photonza processes event content only to provide the service (storage, resizing, display in the feed, downloads, automated content moderation and, if you keep it on, face recognition) and on your instructions; it uses it for no other purpose.
• Photonza uses the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy (Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel, OpenAI, Stripe) and notifies account holders when a new sub-processor is added.
• Photonza applies the technical and organisational measures in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy and informs you without undue delay when it becomes aware of a data breach.
• Event content is deleted automatically 30 days after the event ends. You may delete or download content at any time within that period.
• We answer guests' requests regarding event content (deletion, access) in cooperation with you and within the statutory period.
• Your obligations: inform guests that photos are taken and shared at the event (you can print the notice at photonza.com/organizer-notice and put it up at the entrance), obtain the required parental consent for photos of children, share the invite code only with invitees, and turn face recognition off in the event settings if you consider it unsuitable for your participants.

For guests' face signatures the data controller is Photonza; the organizer has no access to face signatures.

Face recognition is optional for guests and works only when the guest gives a separate explicit consent. The organizer can turn the feature off for the whole event.

Face matching is statistical and not perfect. Some photos may not be found or people who look alike may be suggested. Results are therefore shown separately as "confident" and "possible".

Each event has an upload quota and a per-guest upload limit. The quota depends on the package purchased. Deleting a post does not restore quota.

30 days after the event ends, the event and all its content are deleted automatically. Download the photos you want to keep within this period. After it, data cannot be recovered.

Creating an event requires credits. One credit corresponds to one event. Contact us for package and price information.

Used credits are non-refundable. For credits purchased but not yet used to create an event, you may send us a refund request. Payments are collected through Stripe; we never hold your card details.

We work to provide the service without interruption but do not guarantee it. Maintenance, provider outages or force majeure may temporarily affect the service.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss. Our liability is in any case limited to the amount you paid for the event concerned.

Do not keep the only copy of your photos on the platform. The platform is not a backup service and content is deleted at the end of the retention period.

To delete your account, write to info@alimertgulec.com. Your account, events and their content are removed; payment records are anonymised and kept for the statutory period. If you have a pending order, deletion takes place after the order is completed.

We may update these terms. The current version is always published on this page with its date; we notify account holders of important changes.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes.
